Message from President, Robert Richardelli
Hello, Sisters and Brothers of the Babylon Teachers' Association. I hope this email finds you all doing well. As always, I am extremely impressed and humbled by the tremendous work that you do every day. I am very excited to announce that the BTA's Executive Council has decided to invest in our union's communications and have a series of new communication tools planned. The first is this email we are calling The Loop - The official email for the hardworking members of the Babylon Teachers' Association.
We will be sending this email to the membership on a regular basis with upcoming events, reports on the charity work we do, political action, bargaining updates, and reminders of upcoming meetings and social outings. We have retained UCOMM Communications to assist us in this endeavor. UCOMM works with 33 local unions and labor councils in the Northeast including the Levittown United Teachers, Bellport Teachers Association, Bay Shore Classroom Teachers, Plainedge Federation of Teachers, West Islip Teachers and Long Island Teachers just to name a few. Working with our BTA leadership team, UCOMM is going to add even more features to our soon to be launched mobile friendly website. Our new and improved mobile friendly website will build on our member photo and video galleries, social networking sharing options, union news feeds, newsletter submission forms, events listings, constantly updated union news and an easy to use navigation menu bar. We are also developing a shortcut-like mobile app so you can stay connected with your union when on the go.
In the meantime, make sure you get your fellow BTA members who did not receive this email to contact us with their personal email at BabylonTeachers.info@gmail.com or click here to sign up directly on a newly created landing page. Thank you for all you do and keep up the good work.
