The BTA Executive Board is seeking letters of intent for the following annual appointments for the 2018 - 2019 school year:
Public Relations / Political Action committee
1 ES - $400
1 GS - $400
2 HS - $400 each
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting the PA/PR chair in disseminating current literature on trending topics in a timely fashion; organizing fundraising m/ social events (including VOTECOPE); coordinating the support of the proposed Babylon UFSD budget and BTA-endorsed Board of Education candidates; attending General Association meetings; assisting the PR/PA chair as needed throughout the school year
New / Untenured Teacher Coordinator -$400
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to attending General Association Meetings; maintaining records of BOE appointments and projected tenure appointments; providing regular communication, support and guidance throughout the school year; assisting the BTA historian in hosting annual tenure celebration; having a working knowledge of new regulations regarding certification; acting as a liaison between new members and district offices especially concerning the reporting of professional development hours; assisting the BTA president with the organization of the new teacher orientation (to take place in August)
