A Message from President Rob Richardelli
February is upon us, I hope everyone enjoys their winter break and they find time to recharge and connect with those that are closest to you in your lives. This letter serves as a reminder to any member planning to retire this year- letters are due Monday, March 4 for either Plan A or Plan B (plan depends on qualifications.) A fillable retirement letter along with a retirement checklist can be found on our website.
The updated seniority list (as of 2/1/2024) can also be found year-round in the BTA member resource center. The BTA only posts this list for you to have quick access and review for accuracy. If there are any questions or concerns regarding the information, please discuss with the business office first. If you still have concerns, please contact a building rep.
Below I have also included some information from NYSUT's Suffolk Regional office on a upcoming seminar on the Teacher Retirement System. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of this seminar if you have not already learned about the system.
