Message from Negotiations Chair Melissa Anderson

Good afternoon! As negotiations chair I would like to thank everyone who participated in this democratic process. I’d also like to extend my appreciation to the negotiations committee:

  • Rob Richardelli
  • Danielle Vedder
  • Lisa Lang
  • Christian Murphy
  • Stacy Aprea
  • Brianna Budney
  • Lindsay Koehler
  • Ashley Jones
  • Jessica Kahn
  • Frank Mancuso
  • Ashley Tomei

Thank you for your time, efforts and voice. The dialogue that took place as a team as well as those that followed the presentation, is a true reflection of the passion and motivation that is alive and well in the halls of the Babylon school district.

On Friday, June 5th, members of the BTA participated in a vote via ElectionBuddy. The polls opened at 7:30 AM and were recently closed at 3:30 PM. The result of today’s vote to approve the proposed MOA effective July 1,2026 - June 30, 2030 are as follows:

148 ballots were submitted out of a potential 171. There was one abstention. Of the 148 ballots submitted the results are as follows:

  • 102 for
  • 46 against
  • One abstention

The proposed MOA is therefore approved. Again, thank you for sharing your voice and your vote.
