On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, educators, retirees, and union supporters from across Long Island will come together to stand up for our public schools. We’re hosting a Phone Bank Day dedicated to raising awareness and mobilizing community support to protect public education and keep taxpayer dollars where they belong. Phone banking can take place at the regional offices or at home using this link. Your voice matters—and together, we can make an even greater impact.

Over the last five years, 77 Long Island school districts have surrendered an astonishing $500,000,000.00 to charter schools. These funds are desperately needed in our public schools, where they support essential educational programs, special services, classroom resources, and the stability of our school communities.
We cannot afford to lose another dollar.
