Message from PAPR Chair Alex Marange
Tuesday May 19th is the day to get out and VOTE for next year’s school budget and Board of Education Trustees.
Below you will find the endorsement list for unions across Long Island. If your district is on the list, please show them support by going out and voting for the endorsed candidates and the proposed budget in your district.
This year’s election has three open BOE seats and four people running. Two of them are incumbents. We spoke with both incumbents about the last three years and our vision for the future. After our conversations we felt that we were aligned and decided to move forward with an endorsement.
Babylon Teachers’ Association is proud to endorse Babylon Union Free School District School Board incumbents Robert Verdi and Catherine Wieland. Their commitment to students, staff, and taxpayers has been evident during their previous terms and we look forward to working with them to make our schools as strong as they can be. We are confident that the candidates for the other open seat on the board have the best interests of the community at heart and would both be wonderful additions to our school board.
